On June 11, 2023 the Women Veterans Committee of American Legion Post 641 will be hosting a luncheon to show appreciation for the women veterans of our area, and in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act of 1948. This act was signed by President Truman on June 12, 1948, granting women the right to serve as permanent, regular of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and the recently formed Air Force
