It's a special day at the South Side Historical Village (located at the Hookstown Fairgrounds) as we host our Fall Social and a special all-day Bluegrass in the Barn, featuring Matt Efaw & RFD. Please join us for a step back in time to the 1890s as you visit the one-room school house, blacksmith and artisan shops, log cabin and outdoor bread oven, general store, doctor's office, working oil well pump house, and the bank barn with its wide array of equipment and displays. See our local historians and artisans demonstrating cider pressing, blacksmithing, basketry, chair caning, woodworking, and more, plus cookies and/or bread in the outdoor oven! It's our last open day of the 2024 season, so don't miss it. Come for the music, the delicious baked goods, soup and sandwiches, the demonstrations, the history, a celebration of a beautiful fall day! We can't wait to see you there!
